Madi Matthews-Williams | Theatre Photography & Performer Headshots Across Wales
Hi, I'm Madi.
Hi, I'm Madi, a theatre photographer and performer headshot specialist based in Llanelli and working across Wales.
Photography and theatre have both been a huge part of my life for many years. Having performed, directed and worked backstage myself, I understand the passion, hard work and creativity that goes into every production. That experience gives me a unique perspective when photographing performers and theatre companies.
Whether I'm creating headshots for an actor updating their Spotlight profile or photographing a full production, my aim is always the same: to create authentic, professional images that showcase people at their very best.
Why Theatre?
My love of theatre is what led me towards specialising in performer headshots and theatre photography.
I know how important a strong first impression can be, whether that's a casting director viewing your headshot or a potential audience member seeing promotional images for a production. Great photography helps tell your story before you've even stepped onto the stage.
Because I've experienced theatre from both sides of the camera, I understand the moments that matter and how to capture them naturally and authentically.
A Few Things About Me...
-
🎭 I've performed, directed and worked backstage, so theatre has been a huge part of my life for many years.
-
📸 When I'm not photographing theatre and performers, you'll often find me photographing medieval re-enactment events and living history groups.
-
🎶 I'm currently learning multiple musical instruments - with varying degrees of success!
-
🌍 Based in Llanelli, I work with performers and theatre companies across Wales.
-
☕ Most editing sessions are accompanied by a cup of tea.
-
😊 My favourite feedback from clients is hearing, "I normally hate having my photo taken, but I actually enjoyed that!"
